Since 2007, I have been collaborating with the Destination Door County staff as an Art Director and Designer for their annual Visitor Guide. The staff and I discuss the content and design six months in advance where I then create all the layout and proofs of the guide until the publication goes to print. I then personally supervise the press check to guarantee a stellar product. With this project, I have been in charge of hiring photographers and writers while maintaining a strict budget.

 

Our first year, the magazine won several awards including The World Wide Web Award˙for the animated magazine version online, The Thomas Sims Graves Awards Program for outstanding visual piece and Premier Print Awards/Benny award.

 

I also work with the staff to create the Supplement Winter Guide that follows the design of the Visitor Guide but is seasonally based. Over the years I have created several other collateral pieces when needed.
